Power of a Virtuous Woman
How to become a virtuous woman must start with not
conforming to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of the
mind. This cannot be done in a carnal
state of mind. It is a spiritual insight
of humility and modesty only found through a personal relationship with
Christ.
Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:6 that which is born of the
flesh is flesh; and that which is born of Spirit is spirit. When we are reborn in the Spirit we no longer
desire things this world has to offer, but seek after things that are pleasing
to God. Becoming a strong virtuous woman
takes hard work and a consistent communication with Christ. God told us in Ezekiel 36:27, that He would
put His Spirit within us and cause us to walk in His statutes. God’s convictions upon my life helps lead me
in the direction He wants me to follow. The
more I let go of things in this world the closer I become to my God which is
followed by wisdom.
Proverbs 31:30 says that “Charm is deceitful and beauty is
passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.” The kind of
beauty that lasts is the beauty that reflects an inward heart of submission,
and a love for God and His people. As
we grow older, the evidence of our age will begin to appear. This is a natural
process, a result of the fall of mankind. But it is a virtuous woman’s wisdom,
her gentleness, and her peaceful submission to God that will continue to make
her attractive long after the physical beauty fades.
A Virtuous woman has authority and powers not obtained by
just any ordinary woman. This goes along
with Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians 11:12 that the woman with uncut hair has power (authority) upon
her head because of the angels. This goes back to the deception in the garden between the serpent and the woman. God told them in Genesis 3:15 that he would put enmity between the two. How? The serpent in the garden that day was once the arc angel Lucifer who was over worship in heaven. He wore a special garment covered in all types of jewels that would reflect God’s glory. God took that covering or glory from him when he rebelled against God and he gave that glory to the woman in the covering of her uncut hair. It
really takes a virtuous woman to keep from cutting, trimming, or razoring her
hair no matter what length it is. I know
myself as a woman, when we have bad hair days the devil is constantly in our
minds with just cut it off. He just
wants us to cut off our power and protection from the throne of God because he
himself lost his power in heaven.
